Alappuzha (also known as Alleppey) is situated
at a distance of about 55 km from the Kochi or Cochin. The town is one of the famous
backwater tourism places in God's Own Country, Kerala and is well-connected to
the Kochi by road. The excellent way to extent Cochin
to Alleppey is by car, a journey of about an hour.
You can go Allepey by road from Cochin and board the
houseboat from there. They will drop you back at the boarding point if you need
to or else in a totally different situation reckon upon your program. Do bring
light clothes. Specifically cotton shirts, lowers and tops. Those are convenient.
Bring your camera and chargers. Mobile does work so take your charger along.
You can also get some movie CDs/DVDs as many of the houseboats
in Alleppey have TV sets with DVD players. Most essential of all, do not
forget MOSQUITO REPELLANTS, particularly the creams/gels. There is a wide range
accessible in the market these days. Carry eatables, snacks, and toiletteries
as well. Taking few bottles of mineral water would also assist. Several
houseboats have these too. But yes, bring your booze with. You will be enjoying
